Support Us

There's more than one way
to play your part

At FAME we believe that together, we can make a difference. There are many ways you can be part of that, whether it’s donating to a project, committing to regular giving, subscribing to our email community or sharing our work with friends and family. Read more below on how to play your part.

Donation

Our partnerships with the many critical conservation projects happening across Australia are not possible without the support of people like you. Donations to FAME help rewild our depleted ecosystems; they help reintroduce native predators to the landscape; they help revegetate important habitat; they enable an endless and ongoing list of important, innovative, exciting wildlife programs that will leave a better world for future generations – one in which Australia’s extinction crisis no longer exists. If you are able, please consider a tax-deductible donation to one of our current projects, or see more options below for alternative ways to give.

Automated Monthly Donation

One of the most effective ways to help us save our species is to register for automated monthly donations. This is a critical avenue for the Foundation to ensure the commitment to our partners is ongoing, and that the response to unfolding disasters is immediate. Click the link below to donate a monthly amount that’s right for you, and know that you are making a tangible difference to the future of our environment.

Become a Member

Be part of something that matters.

Becoming a FAME Member is a meaningful way to stand with a community dedicated to preventing extinction in Australia.

Over 30 years ago, FAME funded its first conservation project. Today, that commitment has grown into more than 85 projects across Australia, each one focused on preventing extinction before it is too late.

When you become a member, you are part of that effort. Not on the outside looking in, but alongside like-minded people who believe that losing species is not inevitable. You are part of the effort, connected to the work, the people behind it, and the impact it creates.

It is a simple commitment, but it signals something important: that you are prepared to be counted.

For just $45 a year, you’ll be joining a community that refuses to let extinction win.

Donate Returns on your Shares

A great way to make an ongoing commitment to the Foundation that removes the need for ongoing admin on your part is to sign up for our ‘Returns on Shares’ donation scheme. If you are a shareholder, you can donate the income or capital gains over a period from your shares directly to FAME. The shares always remain in your name to trade as you see fit, and the tax-deduction status applies. We will issue you a receipt in your name for the amount received, each time.

Leave a Bequest

One of the most powerful ways to make a difference is to include the Foundation as a recipient in your Will. Leaving a Bequest means committing to a future for your loved ones that aims for thriving populations of our native species, healthy, functioning ecosystems, and a habitable environment for everyone.

If you would like any further information on the work of FAME or to discuss the projects your bequest would make possible please download the Bequest Information Booklet at the link below, or contact Tracy McNamara on (08) 8374 1744 or email fame@fame.org.au

Become an On-ground Partner

FAME offers funding for conservation projects across Australia that focus on tangible outcomes to save our endangered species and the habitats they depend on. Grant rounds are opened at the Board’s discretion, taking into consideration current commitments.

Projects must align with one of the Foundation’s Project categories. Please note that the Foundation cannot fund research projects that do not aim for a direct, on-ground impact for the target species.

Each application will undergo a stringent review process during consideration. Should you wish to discuss a possible partnership, please contact us via the form on the ‘Contact’ page, or by phone on (08) 8374 1744.
