Andrew Bird, PhD candidate at La Trobe University, is working to revise the taxonomy of this complex, combining morphological, pollinator, and ecological data. His project employs cutting-edge three-dimensional scanning and morphometrics, large-scale propagation of all species, and pollination experiments. This work will improve our understanding of species evolution, identity, and distribution and help guide ongoing and future conservation work.
