Tasmanian Live-bearing Seastar (Parvulastra vivipara)

It's all about survival of the fittest. The Tasmanian Live-bearing Seastar produces live young, and the largest of the brood will eat their smaller siblings. Fully grown, the Tasmanian Live-bearing Seastar will only grow to a maximum 15mm.As it's name suggests, it's only known from a few locations off the coast of Tasmania and lives under rocks or in crevices.
